B&O stock is getting close to a 1-year-high, at DKK 71 (+7.58 %) last Friday, as their gross revenue is reportedly increasing nicely for the 4th quarter of their fiscal year.

Their latest product launches have obviously been successful. Avant's "affordable" price (in terms of B&O's pricing) is probably a big factor here. Sales numbers must be high. BeoLab 20 and BeoLab 18 have been great upgrades to replace BeoLab 9 and BeoLab 8002.

I hope the increased sales and lower pricepoints have not resulted and do not result in "cutting corners" on the production lines. Avant's production issues were are a bit worrying, but apparently they've been worked out now – we'll see.

BeoSound Moment sounds interesting (not sure about the wood though, but that's prejudice on my part – I need to see the finished product). The new BeoLabs should get rave reviews, BL20 in particular. I hope a "retake" on BeoLab 3 is in the works: size-wise it's perfect, but what it could use is a bit more bass — something Geoff Martin and the audio team could do their magic on.

2014 is looking rather nice for B&O Smile

Great news

And I think the Avant is selling well

Yesterday a dealer member reported selling 4 in one day !

And even staff are placing their orders

I really am looking forward to hearing about the design of the moment as I believe it will help clarify the architecture roadmap B&O are on

It is good news.

But it can quickly change, if they do not solve the problems with the Avant (as mentioned in anothet thread) very soon.

Maybe it doubles as a chopping board for the kitchen!

Big Smile

Will any wood do, or should we wait for the "Moment"?

How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck would chuck wood?

Now - we have written a lot of wood, when the BeoSound Moment was mentioned.

Sure it is important (very important) how the things look, but what - to me - is much more interesting

about the BS Moment is, if we now will get the first real NL-compatible audiosystem with it?

Will the (complete) sources on it be accessable from other NL-products (at the present the tv's)?

And will the (audio) sources from the NL-BV's be accessable from the Moment too (if it is located in a seperate room)?

Will we be able to connect the BS Moment to the BeoLink Network and just use the speakers of the BV for it? Or will it require it's own speakers?

Will it be possible (if a NL/ML-converter is in the setup) to access the Moment-sources from the ML-linkroom products (such as a BL3500)?

Will it be possible to have an 'older' AudioMaster (for access to CD/vinyl..) in the setup as well?

Wood or not - these are the questions that seems more important to have an answer to..

If the BS Moment will be just another standalone product, I guess boxes like the Olive One will become more and more interesting to B&O-user - or we will get along fine with the AppleTV-box, an iDevice and AirPlay.

I - for my part - would stick to my old AudioMaster/Playmaker/iPad-combo for audio!

Greetings MM

All great questions MM --- and in particular I am waiting on the answers to these:

And if it is "just another standalone" then I am probably not interested -- but I would not by an Olive, I would just stay on my ML dessert island Smile

After the morons who ran bno in the past , the only way is up.

At least TUE is in touch with the 21st century and isn't an apple hater.

Copy apple , face it , they've been copying bno the last 15 years !!!

He may not be an Apple hater but he is not exactly an Apple lover either.  Why doesn't B&O support playback of Apple Lossless files (ALAC)?  It has been open source for over two hears and it is free for B&O to acquire.
