Beolab 3 vs A8 dock

Hello all had an a8 dock for a while and recently purchased a set of beolab 3's and picking up a beolab 2 sub Tomo as I'm sure my a8 dock has a lot more bass than the beolab 3's should this be the case or not, obviously the 3's are clearer to listen to but I definately found a lack in bass so let's hope my new sub sorts the problem Tomo once my cables have arrived from Steve at sounds heavenly Which I must say he is superb to deal with and helped me a lot as I'm not that clued up
