Hello there,
I was wondering if any of you have a beolab 6002 you could take a picture of behind the grill (the drivers amp etc) as i would like to see if there is any differents "under the hood" compared to the 6000s.
Also in your opinion (if you have had experience with the original 6000) are the 6002s any better sound wise?
Thanks
Hey,
A few days ago I went with a friend to our local B&O dealer. We also wanted to know what the difference is with Beolab 6000. The shop owner told us that nothing changed in the speaker department but B&O changed the amplifiers within the speaker cabinet. I hope I am explaining it well, but that's what he told us.
And I can tell you: the sound was amazing! We cranked the volume up and we felt the bass in the floor with electronic music. The 6002's were also happy with more acoustic music like Dave Matthews Band.
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Now the 6002's are probably in the league of the 8000's (now you have the 8002's too i think)
I never heard the 6000's before, but my friend told me that he did and that he was amazed by the bass and power of the 6002 speakers.
Impressive for such a thin speaker design. Imagine you add a subwoofer...
I would say, go for a listening session.

Hi there,
On friday I went to my local b&o store to pick up a beo4 wall bracket i ordered and while there asked for a demo of the 6002s and they are definately an improvement over the old 6000s, they really are similar to the 8000s now the bass has been improved.
Shame I dont have the money for a pair at the moment.
Maybe i would be able to purchase the new ice amps and put them in my 6000s as it would improve the sound a lot.
