I haven't used my Beosound 3000 for several months and decided to connect it today. Nothing happened. The doors do not open any longer, I can't load a CD and the red and green lights are on. It used to work fine before.

I didn't find anything on the manual. Does somebody know what to do ?

Thanks.

Some Infos found on this Forum (or the archived one):

A green light might indicate an activated timer.

Doors not opening might have to do with a door lock:

This procedure works for the Beosound 3200 and I think its the same for the 3000.

The glass doors can only be locked if your Beosound is in Standby.

Press SHIFT 9 0 3 6 9 with no more than 2 seconds between the individual numbers being entered.
The display shows “LOCKED”.
To unlock the glass doors press SHIFT 9 0 3 6 9 with no more than 2 seconds.
The display shows “UNLOCKED”.
The function will be saved in NVRAM if you disconnect from mains.

If you are using the Beo4 then you will need to add the SHIFT command to your LIST before doing the above.

Beo 4:
After pressing LIST and found SHIFT, you have to press OK before pressing 9 etc ..

Good luck!

Ralf

I once had a red and green light on at the same time on my Beosound 2300.   Pressing 'Mute' on the control panel when in standby mode made the green light go out.   Of course for you to do this you'll have to first get the doors open (or remove one).
