Hi all, just purchased a B&O beogram rx2 from ebay.

Its in very good condition, only the sound is very low.

I think it could be the phono leads?

Is there anyone that could give any advice on how to fix this problem?

never attempted to repair something like this before so all help would be great.

thanks

steven

Hi there

The sound from a record player IS very low if you do not have a RIAA amplifier, or a receiver/amplifier with a dedicated phono socket with build-in RIAA.
First of all you should tell us what receiver/amp. you have connected your Beogram to.

Hi Steffen,

picking up on this thread I wanted to ask you guys if you could suggest a preamp for the RX2.

I have it hooked up with a Sansui G-5500 receiver, thanks!

At the bottom af this page you will find Steve at Sound Heavenly he can provide a preamp with the right connections, or go here

Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
