What would you choose 2005 £6000 or 2014 new boxed £11000
At that price, go for the new ones, at least if they are new. Check the serials to know when they left the factory. Price point for the used set sounds average.

Both prices are good when adjusted for exchange rate here in the states. I don't see too many used BL5 pairs of any age go under 10k and according to Google that exchange works out to 10,277.50. However the NEW pair is a little better deal for something brand new in the box, as that's only a couple grand and change more than I'm selling my out of box 2014 pair for over here.
I'd say go for the new pair and enjoy.
P.S.: I (and likely the rest of the forum) would be interested to hear your opinion of the Lab 5s versus the Lab 20s if your dealer had the 20s on display.
