Hello all

I am thinking of buying a Bv6 for my link room TV in the kitchen rather than a beolink passive with some cheap waterproof speakers.

I will access main room sound and SD tv via the modulator in the BV7 and audio from BS4 DAB and AAUX.

question is how does the bv6 sound compare to the beovision 3?

I don't really want loud loud music in the kitchen but some volume would be great.

any thoughts?

I have 2 beocenter 6 26 and 23 and a beovision 6 26 ,they sound fantastic for their size, not as much bass as bv3-32 as the speakers are smaller enclosure but sound fine in my link rooms and a much smaller footprint.

bc 6-23,in kitchen doesn't sound as good but it us much smaller.

I am selling the bv 6-26 mark 2 mint with very low usage by service counters £150.

Hi Seannie!

Hope you are well buddy. I have the 22" BV6 a few years ago in my apartment. With the bass and treble pushed up, I thought that it produced a very nice sound. I had a Century next to it and the BV6 was far better sounding in terms of a lower bass with a very solid cabinet. Even a high volumes, it performed well! I can only assume that the 26 will sound even better! The screen was rather poor though and nothing looked brilliant on it - all rather grainy (DVD and Sky) but this was of course before HD.

It was a very classy set and did everything nicely!

I've had both. The bv6 is sensitive by its age where the older models take a while to 'warm' up and for the picture to reach brightness. On sound and picture the bv3 is superior. The question is really space as it's a big piece of kit. I liked both and the bv3 made a real statement especially if you picked the colour speaker grills. In many ways it was the precursor of the casual bv11 design.

I switched from BV3 to BV6-26 in my lounge as a 'stop gap' solution when my BV3 failed.  I was intending to buy something bigger once I moved to Germany, but to honest I am very happy with the BV6 in my current set up, especially with the motor floor stand - it's like a mini-avant!

No issues at all with the sound - just make sure the bass port on the underside is exposed (i.e don't stand it on a table without at least the simple table stand that tilts it back slightly.)

I was so pleased with the BV6-26 that I also bought a 6-23 for my study.
