I'm finishing my B&O museum room (pictures to follow soon) and have a variety of units wall mounted (BM2400, BM1700, Beosystem 10, 4500 series etc) but I still have wall space remaining!
My question is, which vintage units could be wall mounted (officially) i.e. that they had appropriate holes on the rear plate to allow this? And, which could be wall mounted - unofficially but have been successfully by Beoworlders?
Many thanks,
Dave.
Some units can be wallmounted directly while others would need a dedicated bracket.
If we look at the 1960s and 70s:Beomaster 1001, 1200 (on bracket)Beomaster 1900, 1900-2, 2300, 2400, 2400-2 (directly)Beocord 1200, 1600 (on bracket)Almost all but the largest Beovox Speakers, some directly, others on bracket.
Beomaster 2000 and 3400 can also be wallmounted but it was not an original option.
From the 1980s:Beomaster 2000, 3000, 3300Beocord 2000, 3300Beogram tangential series 3000-9500Beogram CD-X, CDX2, CD3300Beosystem 10Most speakers.All on brackets.

Many thanks Martin. A full, concise reply. I must check through my stock to see what I have that can now fill the spaces.
Beomaster 6000 quad - so it really does look like a Star Trek Bio Bed display! - will need a bracket

I am sure you mean an RSJ, its a bit heavy. It was wall mounted by someone on the old forum.
I'm not sure my old walls will take the weight of a BM6000! I've just moved two of them today and had forgotten how heavy they are!.
Can you mount a Beomaster 8000?
Maybe not 100% vertical, but on a slight angle leaning backwards?
Obviously a custom bracket would have to be made.
Now that really will need an RSJ! Not sure the display will look that good. I suppose anything can be mounted vertically but the question would be, why? If it is for lack of space, the 8000 is probably not the way to go!
In my B&O room I have a wall of shelving with units obviously mainly horizontal - apart from a Beosystem 10, Beocord 1600 and Beocord 2200 and a few speakers. There is some space on the walls between the shelves wich is just blank as most units are low profile so I was looking for suitable units to mount on the wall.
I also have various other areas of space on walls which I'd like to utilise- speakers, clock, posters, Ouverture, remotes etc. The BM8000, 9000, 6000 series are all on shelves as is the 6000 Quad.
I could really do with the original brackets for things like the BM1001 and a few other vintage units but I've never seen them available.
