Hello all:

The unit functions correctly and lowers the tonearm at the  beginning of the record, however after that point the sensor arm assembly will not move with the stylus. The stylus will track until it can't move any further (it will be slightly angled with the sensor arm) and will begin jumping the record grove. Is there a switch that engages the sensor arm mechanism to begin moving once the stylus is lowered, or is it entirely mechanical and should be disengaged somehow to move forward from the pressure of the stylus?

Thanks in advance for any response!

Welcome to Beoworld !

There is an optical "switch", yes.
Below decks, you can see an arm, moving with the tonearm, going down into a closed black
plastic housing. Inside this housing is a lamp and an LDR resistor where the arm acts as an interrupter, blocking
the light from the LDR, more or less.
On the TX you will have to lift the carriage from its rails and flip it a little to access the housing from below.
Most likely the lamp has burned.
If there is light visible, the LDR is bad (just as common in Beogram TX as a burned lamp).

This is not a job for a beginner (with all due respect).
