I note that under my BeoCenter 6-26 there are two lozenge-shaped holes, which are "piped" up into the TV. Are these ventilation holes, or are they bass-reflex holes for the speakers? I presume that if they are for ventilation, then the BC6-26 should probably not be simply stood upon a table... which is how I use it.
:(
Do please tell me if I'm doing the wrong thing, since I'd rather avoid wrecking the telly.
Thank you,
Mark
I think they are for bass reflex - hence the design of the table stand which titls the set backwards to expose the holes.
I had mine sat flat on a table in my last house with no problems! The sound is much better now it is on a floor stand.
Further to this - it is mentioned under the 'mounting options' on Beoworld's own page here:

Ah! Thank you Guy. I have looked at that entry on beoworld, without ever reading that line - funny how the mind works when reading.
I'll stop worrying that I might wreck the TV, while I'm waiting for an affordable "pull and rotate" wall bracket to come along. I do like the look of the "boomerang" table stands, but only the 6-23 ones seem to appear on ebay
Thank you again,
No problem - glad I could help!
I think Timeless AV may have some 6-26 tilt stands - it's a bit unclear on their product listing but worth getting in touch. STB brackets do one but it's very pricey.
Well spotted again! I've sent Timeless a query.
Sadly, I simply can't afford the STB brackets prices. For them I'll have to wait on ebay!
There I was searching through the user manuals and service manuals - I didn't consider it would be in the products section!
STB are too pricey for me to.
Dave.
Dave,
Thank you for trying to solve the problem for me. That's what I like about this site - the way that everyone tries to help.
As a spin-off from researching my earlier answer I ended up looking at BV stands on German eBay and yesterday purchased a motorised table stand for my BV6-23 - just couldn't resist it!
So many thanks Mark!
And here it is!
