Bang & Olufsen audio system sounds better with Audi

The Bang & Olufsen sound system with Symphoria is available on the advanced version of the new Audi TT. A processor analyzes the unwanted noise in the passenger compartment which is detected by a microphone in order to optimize the acoustic image. Associated with MMI navigation plus, the sound comes out as 5.1 surround format. With an output of 680 watts, the amplifier controls 12 speakers, including two in the center and two subwoofers in the doors. The sound system is visually emphasized by the strip of anodized along the woofer which presents the logo of specialist hi-fi Danish aluminum. A white LED light emanating from a thin line LED.

Audi breaks new ground in the automotive sound systems for years. The Bang & Olufsen Advanced Sound System made its first in the Audi A8 in 2005. In 2012, the system makes its appearance in the compact class, the third generation of the Audi A3. With Symphoria, Audi is one step closer to 3D sound technology he presented for the first time at CES in Las Vegas in 2013. 3D sound allows the listener to experience the height in space as the third dimension - this is the next step towards the future of audio experience.

Bang & Olufsen sounds so much better in Audi, like any home loudspeakers.

Intertesing, thanks for posting. I have the B&O system in my Audi A4. For me it's going to be harder losing the sound system than the car when I swap next. I do a lot of miles so change car every 2 years or so.

This is my 5th Audi and have to say it's a clear step up form the standard Audi system. If you want it to, it goes very loud and remains crystal clear with serious bass. I have all the DSP turned off as I prefer the sound that way. Each to their own.

I have the A5 can with bang and olufsen system and I agree it is amazing.

Could go a little louder at times but that could affect the clarity I suppose. It always sounds perfect.

I've heard all the high end car audio systems from the big names,and the best so far is the meridian upgrade system in the new rangerover,followed by the mark levinson in the old Lexus sc 430.The B&o systems are certainly much better in audi than bose though.

Had you auditioned the Naim system in the Bentley? I find it quite nice but not sure how it compares to the Meridian/Levinson/Harman & B&O systems.

 

I have,the sound signature is not to my taste,I prefer the rich meridian sound.
