I ment Beocenter 9500 😀
Beovision 7-55" 3D, Beosound 5, Beolab 9, Beolab 8000, Beovision 6, Beo 6, Beoremote one, H8, H2.
While I might have styled it differently (same can be said of all the new speakers, still better than most mass market stuff if not as stylish as the last generation), I am honestly kind of excited about the functionality and way of selecting music. I can see the Moment, with Essences and their controllers, as a slick new way to select and enjoy music. If/when my current setup grenades, the Moment will be very tempting to me. The price is not unreasonable either, though as always I'd prefer it be a tad less.
One thing I'd like is the fact that it would simplify my streaming. Right now I have iTunes and access it on my PC via the iPad remote app, and use Spotify on the iPad. This gives me two interfaces that don't talk to each other, one unified setup would have advantages. Spotify vs. Deezer, not having used Deezer not sure how it compares, but I'm not wed to Spotify. If another service can give me something similar I'm fine.
Spotify is getting pretty good at offering me things I like though. Recently I started the app and it brought up a recommended set of jazz playlists. The one I've been listening to lately is Coffee Table Jazz, and boy do they have my number, excellent playlist. Genius does a good job on iTunes but the limitation to just what I own is, well, limiting. The ability to have the Moment pull from Deezer and my collection would be quite interesting I think.

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.

Albums are no problem. First you have to choose an artist, then you can choose between the albums.
There is a tv - and there is a BV

Thanks for posting this. What I was impressed with was something very subtle, but told me that the user interface designers at B&O really thought about what people may find useful. Well, I would certainly, was this:
When the user in the video changes moods using the mood wheel, the previously selected mood doesn't go away, it lingers in a dimmed state, showing where you've been. I think this is a rather significant and thoughtful approach to take when dealing with an "emotional" connection to music -- showing you where you've been before. Nice touch.
It would be a plus if it could broadcast (without beeing on its base)
Anyone know the name of the music which is playing in the background of the user video? It is the same piece, which was playing in the background of the "teaser."
Hi Sal, I tried to Shazam it but it came up as unfound. I very much presume it is copyright free music which you buy from a few of the sites over in the USA. I've bought loads for clients and station in the past - they're usually £30+ depending on the license.
Hi all, I've just talked to my dealer and he said the Moment will only be available for the U.S. market in July. This is very disappointing and I hope he is wrong...
I watched the new video and to be honest it is pretty much what I need / want and will enable some more integration. I am a spotify user but that could change.
i don't like the wooden side but I never like that in a rover also :)
i think the moment is going to become part of my home in the near future when I can access the sound via my ML/NL devices.
I also wonder what this will look like on the beolink gateway.
Will it output it's source to my penta speakers if connected via powerlink?

Sure they have it - my dealer too.
But they can't (or won't) tell you about the 'multiroom' capacities, because the software for this hasn't been finished yet.
At time being you can use the Moment with it's own speakers, with a tv (as speakers) or with it's own speakers
and 1 (!) tv in another room.
As they write on the Moment subpage, the 'multiroom-thing' will be rolled out during the spring (and summer, I guess).
But the A9 2nd Generation is - even as a standalone device - a much better device, than the current A9.
Chris Townsend:I wonder wether the Bluetooth is just to communicate and therefore control the Moment, not actually broadcast music!
No - the 'Bluetooth' is a 'source' - just like the 'Line-in' is for a wired device.
You can use it to connect a Bluetooth device for streaming music - using it turns the Moment on from standby (if the devices are already paired).
Facel: It would be a plus if it could broadcast (without beeing on its base)
The 'Jukebox' (the tablet) does not 'broadcast' - it is connected to the 'SoundHeart' (the base) via wifi, and acts a a remote.
It is the 'SoundHeart' that distributes.

Calling the brick the 'SoundHeart' does nothing for me. I really think that the base could have been made much more elegant.
But my wallet still has a beolab 9 impact crater
hahaha very good!
Peter the Biker, what do you mean by "The device to connect the beovision 8 and the moment to my beolab 9s" ?
How should the moment be connected to a BV 7 mk3 with Beolab 8000s ?
Chris Townsend: Not a Rover....
Not a Rover....
I was at my "old school" last night for a talk by another ex RCA student who's now the head of VW interior design and he's a real Anglophile . Even with his admiration for Morgan and Aston Martin I'd say a woody A4 is not on the cards!

Of course I should have let Peter - or his dealer - answer that question, but....
.... this can be achieved with the NL/ML converter - just like with any other integration of NL and ML products.
does anybody knows if wol to wake up the dlna server is integrated? -it is still not integrated in bv11.
...and have you noticed that the tablett has to be centered manuallyon the brick, otherwise it wood look quite ugly out of the middle position.
Oke, thanks MM, kind of already thought so.
Have been searching for a picture of the NL/ML converter; can't find it anywhere (wondering what it looks like / how big it is / if I can hide it easily behind my BV7). Does anyone have a picture of it?

Google for 'NL/ML converter beolink' - pictures.
Might give you an idea of the size.
There are different options foe wall brackets from stbbrackets - if you are using the browser version of Beoworld there is a link below.
Note: the pictures in the link from Räuber is from an early version.

Puncher:I believe it supports aptX which is much better quality than "old" style Bluetooth but still not lossless quality.
I don't know for sure - but we will get the answer sooner or later, I think.
Do remember that iDevices don't support aptX.
And reading articles like this
http://www.cnet.com/news/can-aptx-give-you-better-sound-over-bluetooth/
puts the discussion on the benefits of aptX in perspective.
Millemissen: Do remember that iDevices don't support aptX.
Are you even attempting to suggest that this is an acceptable reason for it to be missed out?

Ban boring signatures!
Did I write that, did I???
Please don't put something into my words, that was not there.
