The precedent had been set when they hired McCartney, who's a JBL pitchman.
I wouldn't want to be associated with anything connected with that commercial.... but from B&O's position if they can somehow demonstrate that sales have increased due to this commercial then they have presumably made the right decision.
The Pepsi version, (with almost invisible Pepsi logo), is still available online for £179.
If, like me, you want headphones that are neutral and where you put any extra bass in with your own amp controls, they are really excellent headphones.
They don't spill sound out, but the wearer can hear some external noise, so from that viewpoint they would not qualify as studio quality.

Well I'm sat by the pool in Mallorca with my H6's listening to a variety of music. Because of the noise leakage I've got to have them quite loud. On some songs there is a distinct crackle in parts of higher bass.
My rather hairy German neighbour is sporting a pair of Beats. Same song from the same device, no crackle.
