I have just got hold of a Beocom1600  through eBay. Theres something about the design of the 1600/2400/2500 that I just love and it will serve as interesting shape desk phone (and fallback in case the power goes out and stops the Becom 6000's).

The phone works fine but there a couple of points i'd like to tweak to have it 100% again - and thats where i'd like to draw on the forums experiences/advice :

#1 - The thing that most of these used phones seem to have lost/broken is the flip up stored number list / notepad  on the back that covers the ringer volume & tone/pulse switches. Are these available (other than off of other phones) to replace on those that have lost them ?

#2 - The handset at the mic end seems to be a bit loose (see picture). Does anyone have advice how to easily resolve. Does the handset come apart by levering the grey from black - or is it screwed together (it looks like there is a slide off piece of plastic where the cord enters the handset) ? Any advice gladly received.

I could try B&O service but I'm assuming that there is an age limit to wired telephones they can support / fix.

Cheers
