I would like to replace an older Apple base station with a new one. The last time I did this three years ago, I recall that I had to phone B&O in Chicago to help me reconnect my Beosound 5. Could anyone please help me with basic instructions on how to do this?

Thank you

Quick question, are you connecting wirelessly to the base station or via ethernet?

If wireless, if you keep the same wireless name you should be fine

And ethernet will just take an automatic IP

Happy to help you along the way :-)

Aussie,

Sincerest thanks for your quick response. I use a beo 6 remote to communicate wirelessly with the Beosound 5 and its Beomaster 5. The last time that I changed base stations three years ago, I could not upload new music files to the Beomaster 5 through the Beoconnect application without great assistance from the B&O Chicago Store. I am hoping that once I have the proper funds saved to purchase an Avant in a couple of months that the current B&O set up I have will work much more efficiently. The Beo 6 remote communication is very slow in communicating with the Beosound 5.

Thanks again,
