Sorry if this has already been posted and I missed. I noticed a new app is available, (not from B and O), to control newer TVs. I have only tried the free version. It connected instantly to my V1.

The name of it is Polymote.

Polymote is a iPhone-only app.

Nice because the B&O app only works on iPad.

The name of it is Polymote.

It's been out for a few months, and I've been using it almost exclusively to control my BV11 and connected devices (it controls all PUC sources, too). The app has improved over time, and I find using an iPhone a lot handier than iPad with the official BeoRemote App.

PolyMote works like a charm. Since I also Airplay most of my music to PlayMaker & BeoPlay A8 from my iPhone, with PolyMote I have a one-device solution to control my setup, using only the iPhone.

I can recommend the app from my personal experience. It has some two-way functionality as a nice touch, showing the TV channel & other source names, and the volume. Also, the design of the app is quite "beoesque".

While waiting for BeoRemote One, PolyMote has replaced my Beo5 as the main remote.

PolyMote won't control older IR devices, so it's not a one-stop solution for everyone. But if your setup is built around the newer Beovisions, it is indeed handy.

(Those of you who might try/buy the app, you need to slightly swipe the navigation arrows to the direction of the arrows for them to work with menus etc. Clicking them will drive you nuts.)

Is there a huge difference between the lite (free) and the full (pay) version ?

Yes, the lite version is very crippled, these basic functions don't work:

- volume slider

- channel up/down

- go/select/play button

- standby button

When I got the app, there was no lite version available, and with the above limitations, I wonder what's the point of the free version...

OK thanks. Well, it seems that the lite version is not very useful.
