I have a ground loop issue producing a humming noise when connecting my laptop to the aux audio input of a beosound 9000 mkIII.

I have read all the guidelines and documentation I could find on the internet but couldn't solve it yet.

I have the beosound 9000, 2xbeolab 1and the PC connected to the same power strip.

The humming noise disappears if I disconnect the laptop from the mains and runs on battery.

I have tried a desktop PC with exactly the same result as with the laptop.

On the other hand if I replace the Beosound 9000 by a Beocenter 3200 the humming noise disappears completely.

Any suggestions?

Do you think it could be something wrong with the Beosound 9000?

I don't think that there's something wrong with your 9000.

An easy solution for fixing ground loop issues is a DI box:

I finally solved this issue. The aux input cable was defective, just replacing it by a new one solved the problem.
