Hi all,
My Beovision 7 woke up one day and there was no sound whatsoever coming from the main speaker module. Much as I try (including re-setting) it still has no sound 10 days on!! Does anybody have an idea what could have caused it and how I can fix it myself if possible?
Unfortunately I live in Gibraltar and the local shop closed a couple of years ago. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Hi Stephen,
Welcome to the forum! If you just have one speaker (ie. a Beolab 7 sound bar) connected to the TV, the problem may just be the speaker or the cable linking it to the TV. As Beolab 7 models don't have an indicator light fitted, it can be tricky to tell if the speaker is actually working. Please check the power lead to the speaker and the fuse in the plug (where fitted). Do you hear a quiet "pop" sound from the speaker when the TV switches on?
The next step is to try a pair of headphones with the TV, as this should tell you if the TV is producing sound.
It could also be worth pressing "MENU" twice on the remote to enter the TV setup and then select "SPEAKERS". You should see your speaker shown as the Centre channel speaker in the list.
If you can please advise know which speakers you have connected to the TV, then I can give you a more accurate reply.
Kind regards, Steve.
Steve.

Actually Steve the BeoLab 7 loudspeakers DO have a light indicator. It is hidden under a small rubber bung inside the small compartment on the rear of the speaker cabinet where the cables plug in. You have to lift out the stopper, a finger nail or small flat blade will do the job, then you will see the conventional red in stand-by and green when powered on.
