first post on here, I have searched the forum but not found a solution to my issue yet.

I have a 1982 Beocenter 5000, it has been stored for the last 3 years and has developed a problem since I set it up again 2 days ago. It starts normally in all 3 modes-radio,phono,tape- runs for 5-10 seconds and then switches off. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be causing this? thanks in advance

Welcome to Beoworld !

Sounds like a problem with the amplifier.
Idle current adjustments and DC offset circuitry springs to mind from experience.
Not a task for a beginner (with all respect) but not a too difficult or labor intensive repair for
a trained tech guy either.
Worth the repair if you ask me.
