Hi

I have plugged back in my S60's to the BM6500 and love the sound, really clear and punchy - at the moment they are on some cheap stands so before ordering some better ones that will bring them to ear level I just wanted to see if anyone had had any experience of trying them on the wall or on stands and if there is much difference - if I put them on the wall then will have to drill holes etc but they will be out of the way, really it is a matter of which sounds best before I do anything else

Can't comment on your particular speakers or stands for that matter. However, my experience with Beovox 2600's and Beovox s45's (Mk1) is that they sound much better when fastened to the wall, either using a pair of screws or using hinged mounts with rubber bearings (with the 2600's).

Having said that I currently have the S45's lying horizontal lying on thick card placed onto a wall mounted Ikea shelving unit. (I think this was from the LACK series but now discontinued). The Ikea unit has, by chance, the ideal resonant frequency to enhance the speaker output and they have never sounded better!
