Hi there

Bought a set of brandnew Beolab 3 from the US, unfortunately forgot about the voltage difference and burnt the power supply main chassis on both of the speakers when plugged directly onto the 240V powerpoint at home (New Zealand). Now the local B&O shop quoted NZD$970 for the reparation of each speaker, which is about USD$1800 for repairing both speakers.

Now my question is, that is there any alternative way of doing this repair myself?  I would like to know 1) where and how to order the genuine parts, and 2) how hard it is to carry out the replacement with a simple tools setup at home?

Thanks in advance.

G'day Saladice and welcome to the forum.

I thought the BL3's power supply was universal, they are known to go from time to time.

I did read on this forum a while ago on how to replace it.  I'll see if I can find the Discussion.
