Here: check that you didn't accidentally pull the connectors, see the one at right!

Cleaning plugs and jacks (connectors) in my BC 5000 solved nearly all my problems
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
I am not sure if I understand the question:You typically cannot record onto a prerecorded tape, because the small record protection taps aremissing on prerecorded tapes to protect the recording from accidental erasure. In the good old days we put a piece of scotch tape where the tap would be.Just don't cover the nearby CrO2 detector opening - on Chrome tapes that is.
hi martin Icannot playprerecorded taps and cannot record on blank taps there is no ppm showing whith a blank tap I press rec open press record no ppm showing press record it starts to record but the tape is blank at the end off recording Ihave tried it whith my beomaster 8000 whith my beomaster 6000 and even whith my beocenter 9500 but stll get the same results no ppm showing look forewardto hearing from you
To clarify what has been stated about the problem -This was a working Beocord 9000 cassette deck, then you changed the belts and the thrust roller (that presses the tape to the capstan), and now you can't record or playback tapes?
You can operate fast forward, rewind and play and verify that those operations do turn the cassette properly. You just don't get any sound when operating playback and you can't get a record signal into the deck.
Check that you didn't accidently set the Line/DIN switch on the underside of the deck to DIN (like I did). Make sure it is set to Line.
If the deck is operating the cassette correctly and you have verified the deck switches are correct, then it sounds like your problem is in the electronics or a connection to the electronics.
You may have already done this but double-check the position of the switch located in front next to the headphones jack. Make sure it is set to the Amplifier position (not AUX or MIC).
hi sonavar the line/din switch is set to line plus the other switch is set to amp if it is the electronics is there any way off testing or is it a job for b&o thanks hope to hear from you soon
