Now that my 1102 is working as it should I can turn my attention to the cosmetics. The lid needs a polish, but the main issue is that the "woodgrain" (which actually appears to be a thin veneer of plastic?) along the sides is coming off and needs re-gluing, but worse still the strip along the front is missing.

Is there a source of replacement veneer?

For my BM 2400 I made the left side panel (missing when bought) out of pressed wood board 1/8" and thin veneer. Glued on with small pieces of double sided tape. Here you will find veneer, iron on, glue on etc.etc.

Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.

The wood on your Beogram is actually real wood glued onto a plastic base.
The plastic base itself is a different color according to the wood sort.
What woodsort is your Beogram (oak, teak or palisander) ?
