I do not understand the Lintronic device well at all. I have some very basic questions.

1. The web page shows pictures of it sitting on a table next to a Beo 4. Does that mean it can be placed anywhere, or must it be connected to the Masterlink system or a computer at all times?

2. I have a security system in my house with a lighting system also. It is through ADT. There is a remote available that can be used to control the lights directly instead of accessing an app on a phone or tablet. Would it be possible to use the Lintronic such that the Beo 4 could be used to control the lights instead?

Thanks!

The answer to your questions generally is yes. The only thing is that the lintronic has to be visible to the IR signal of your remote, Beo4 for example, unless you attach an external IR receiver to it. The remote also needs to be in the line of sight with the device that it is controlling. In my case I was able to conceal it, but was unable to hide it. Finally as to learning your remote, that should be possible.

I've had generally good luck with the two I have.

I emailed and they responded within a couple of hours. Unfortunately it will not work with my lights.
