Beautiful BEO good find Henrik
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
Thank you Søren.
Did you have the BEOLAB 5000 system in Mexico now, or did your son still have it at home?
Henrik
square4: Thank you Søren. Did you have the BEOLAB 5000 system in Mexico now, or did your son still have it at home? Henrik
Hi Henrik, I have the system here in my workshop, tested and playing very good (only by ear, no measurements done), as I plan to visit DK later this month I then will visit Frede to see his workshop and get some tips on repair and restore, and then I will start restoring it, slow and hoping to get it as near Fredes quality as possible, the first Beolab system I restored I bought on the US bay and sold it to Jeff (Piaf) in Canada, the first system you found for me is playing here every day after restore only missing some lamps, I hope to see you when I am in DK, will come back with dates for my visit. I wil also be looking for a BG 4002 when in DK. Good to see you more active on the forum, keep them coming
Here are some pictures of my beolit 600
Henrik.
Here my Beolit 600, not restored, antenna broken at the top, where do get yours restored ?
Mine is not restored yet.Maybe i have an antenna for it,i cant remember if it is for a beolit 600 or an 800.I will find out later.

The man who repaired my oak beolit 1000 sent me an email and asked if i am interested i a leather beolit 1000.

Here are the pictures he sent to me.
Some time ago i bought this beolit 1000,it was not very nice.
I started by grinding the scale frame and the handle and giving it a matte clear coat.
Then it was the turn of the buttons, they were sanded and painted.
Now ii looks like this.
VERY nice result indeed!
Martin
Thanks Martin
Top job Henrik, congrats
Many thanks Søren.
Beautiful! Really good job Henrik
Curious what product you used for painting the knobs and the handle?
BR,

Vintage Bang & Olufsen
Hi theomaster.
I just used spraycans, matt alusilver for the buttons and matt clear acrylic for the handle and the scale frame.
I send you lots of pictures from the start to the end with this beolit, Didn't you get them? Please contact me 😊
A couple of weeks ago i bought this car bracket for a beolit 1000.
It was not in good condition, but after a bit of work,it now looks like this.
Top job Henrik, just beautiful
No less than absolutely fantastic!
This beolit 1000 did not have the same standard as my others so i sent it for a cosmetic shine up.
And when i was missing a palisander in my collection i ordered palisander veneer on the panels.
now it looks like this.
I had this beolit 1000 where one panel was broken due to leaking batteries
i Found another panel for it and send both panels to get new teak veneer on
Now my beolit 1000 collection looks like this
Nice to see all this Beolit transistors.
Here is my collection:
My last aquisition is Beolit 500, nicely looking, but aerial tip was fixed very ugly in the past. Could you help me with better photo (or dimensions) of FM antenna tip for Beolit 500? Or replacement antenna (even broken)?
I am still looking also for missing black disc on tuning wheel (Beolit 800) and one black slider for Beolit 707.
May I kindly ask Beolit 500 owners to give me dimensions of FM antena tip? See pictures above, I have my FM antenna repaired not very nice.
Found this advert in a danish car magazine from 1970.
It says:
"Top News!
Judge it by its sound quality and take all its other refinements as Premiums!
The requirements for sound quality has grown rapidly in the later years.
But how can these demands be satisfied in a transistor radio?
Within small dimensions?
B&O has done it by, amongst other things, equipping the new Beolit 600
with a specially developed speaker - with a ceramic magnet og a frequenzy-
area on 60-15.000Hz!
This has so far been unknown for a radio this type. And the result:
A sound as wonderful as in a large radio!
In Premium, the new Beolit 600 is refined, untraditional in its design,
materials and colors. You can choose between red, violet, curry, black and
white. And the suggested retail: only DKR 665,- (Roughly DKR 5430 in 2020,
$899, €725, £620)
B&O - for that circle of people, that discusses taste and quality before the price."
Nobody?
I want to ask my friend to produce Beolit 500 (1965) FM aerial tip, but do not know dimensions.
I have two of these and can measure the aerial tip for you in the morning!
ben
Thank you very much, I will appriaciate it. Need to repair this ugly FM antenna.
Thanks for pictures,
so widest part has 10mm, what is size of narrower bottom part (B parameter)?
Height of whole FM tip (C parameter)?
Thanks

Thanks a lot for mesurements.
Friend of mine produced me antenna tip from stainless steel (turning lathe), I polished it and glued with CA glue on last segment of telescopic aerial.
Nice.
Here are a few pictures of my new beolit find,it`s a 609fm with the original box.

That's really nice Henrik - I love the original box!
Hi Ben.
I love it too
Last weekend i was very lucky to find this very very nice beolit 1000 for only 400dkr(54euro)
It lacks the antenna knob but otherwise it is perfectly fine and plays as it should
Find of the year!
Hi Martin,we`ll see when the year is over
Wow,
beautiful wood color. It had to be in the dark for a long period of time, because veneer is not changed by sun.
