BeoSound 3000 defaults to loud volume on power up

Strange, it's just started doing this - when I turn it on, the volume is always set pretty loud (around 40) so I have to turn it down straight away. Tried powering it off and an again, no good. Has anybody else encountered a similar problem?

Hi jkhamler.  The default volume is set when you change the settings in the sound menu.  Go back into the menu and set the volume to a comfortable level, then press the OK button.   It should be ok after that
