Not strictly a beogram question but this seems the appropriate place to ask...after yrs of faultless use (and probably abuse) my faithful beocenter 7007 turntable has suddenly developed speed issues.  Over the last few weeks it has developed from a slight variation in speed (slight warble) to now - distinctly running slow and with some variation.  There seems to be a rhythm to the speed up/slow down so I am hopeful I may simply need to lubricate the motor.  Has anyone attempted this on a 7007? Can the motor be disassembled or is it a case of drizzling as much light machine oil in where I can.  I have used sewing machine oil on an old Dual turntable previously - which worked - but is this the product to use on my B&O?  Happy to receive any advice - also any other potential culprits I should try to attend to when I have her open??

Thanks in advance...

Have you replaced the belt? Martin (Dillen) is the guy to ask as he has them made specially.

I would also check the belt first.
Check for slippage.
Switch the Beocenter off. Lift off the platter. Rotate the subplatter back and forth and watch the
belt on the motor pulley. Does it slip easily or does the motor pulley (and motor) follow your every move ?
If it slips it's usually very obvious, skating on the pulley and a new belt is needed.
If the belt and grip is fine, the motor will probably need a cleaning and fresh lubrication. It can be taken
apart for this.
Finally, the speed setting trimmers on the circuit board could be bad.
For some reason it's not quite as common a fault in these Beocenters as in the separate Beogram of
the same type, but it does happen.
