From what I understand the floor stand for my Beosound 9000 should be adjustable in two heights. But I can´t figure out how to adjust it. Does anyone know how to do this?
"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"
There are two different sets of holes in the column to attach the large, flat panel that holds the BS9000, one set is slightly higher than the other. You have to remove the 9000, pull the screws that hold that large flat piece of aluminum to the aluminum post. The flat piece comes off and you can see the different mounting holes.
There's not a lot of difference, couple of inches if I recall. I have mine on the highest setting.

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.
I think that if you have the original version (shiny base) the height isn't adjustable. Not sure tho..
Older version. Note base reflections in first photo.
I have the one with brushed aluminium base. Will take a look at it now :)
I have a vague memory of the BeoSound 9000 floor stand being changed during its life to allow for two different heights. This came about with the introduction of the BeoLab1 loudspeakers. So depending on which speakers you used (BeoLab1 or BeoLab8000) you could choose the height that best suited the speaker.
I also recall that the height of the bottom of cloth fabric matched the the height of the speaker grill of the BeoVision 5 when placed on its floor stand.
All nice little touches that speak volumes for the attention to detail back in the day.
