Hi,

I have a Beocenter 2 that I bought 2006 and that always has worked like a charm.

The last two weeks it has been disconected from power. Yesterday when I reconnected it I got problem with the power. The red dot is shining and everything works fine in about 15-50 minutes, then suddenly the red dot goes out and it stops to work. When I disconnect and reconnect the power again, it starts to work directly but only for 15-50 minutes. Is this a common fault? Is there a battery or something else that has been old and that I need to change?

Thank you in advance!

Probably just needs you to enter the pin code - if the unit was not powered for a sufficient period of time it will require a pin code.

Unfortunately not that easy. It takes the pin code but then after a while it get black and stop working.

Is the socket set in an open position or the right way up so that it is well ventilated?  Is it overheating?

Can you deactivate the PIN when it is working?  Will it now stay on?

Can you put it in service mode? i.e. when a PIN is asked for press the double left arrows 3 times to get to the 'Master PIN setting' and enter '11111'.

Sounds like some sort of thermal protection issue possibly.

Dave.

Now it has been working for a couple of hours, perhaps self-healed. For each time when I unconnected and reconnected the power it increased the working time. Perhaps something that needed to load up.

Thanks for your help!

Possibly a loose connection somewhere then is most likely. Hopefully it will continue to behave.

Dave.
