Hi

My BV8-32 has only 214 days of video use (I am assuming this is low) but when displaying a white background, like snow, seems to have funny pink splodges on the screen - is this a sign that the screen is on the way out or is there something I can adjust in the service settings?, I have had a look but reluctant to change half the stuff I haven't got a clue about

I seem to recall that it may be dust or something, if so is that easy to fix?

If 214 days is actual 1,600+ hours is that high or low ?

I might look up my two for you.

Thanks, I thought it was low as my old Avant had well over 500 days and that still had a good picture

The splodges are only really apparent on white backgrounds so not the end of the world but would be useful to know if there is a fix

If you're using an HDMI cable, i would try a different cable to see if that cures it. I have seen similar symptoms and HDMI was the cause.

Ahh, thanks MArtin, yes it's also quite a long cable so will try moving the apple tv box closer to the set and a shorter lead

I have the same problem with my Beovision 7.

Very odd, have no idea what it is.

Hi, doesn't seem to be the cable, read up that most cables should be fine as it is a digital signal so would be really poor if it was defective. I turned up the contrast and that seems to have more less got rid of the problem - BenSA - don't know if that will help with yours? I had to switch off the auto contrast as well as the screen was just too dark. Picture seems much better

I also increase my contrast etc ajames and it definitely helped. Luckily it only shows when it is a very pale image showing. Still it would be better not to have those marks.
