I am looking out for a solution for the bedroom beyond having my iphone playing classic FM in the pocket of my pyjama bottoms... Waking up to some soft classical music is one of life's few pleasures and  transforms the pain and misery of getting up every cold morning into a more postive mental state.

I am on the look out for:

1. An clock function with a dim light showing the time.

2. An alarm function that will play music for me.

3. Something that is simple to operate.

4. Something elegant to have in the bedroom / or can be hidden away.

5. Can stream music from a NAS, start playing from where it left off or if not play FM or internet radio of somesort.

6. No need to hassle around with i-things in the morning when dreary and eyes half glued together in the mornings.

7. Can be connected to BL17 or BL3, WISA or non-WISA (mid level B&O speakers).

Any ideas of mix of solutions would be appreciated.

Smile

BeoTime with a BeoVision  - can be programmed to switch on the TV or radio source (Internet radio) after it wakes you up with a gentle chime - I have it at home and it is wonderful

I have a question to all happy owners of BeoTime:

Can you set more than ONE alarm time?

I would like to set different alarm times at weekend than at weekdays.

When I take a look into manual of BeoTime it seems that you can set only ONE alarm time and also for only ONE source. I cannot believe this.

It's better to believe the manual Big Smile

It's true: only one alarm for one source

@ Raeuber

You have to believe this, one alarm/one source.

Thanks for the info.

So BeoTime is for a museum or just a design gimmick. Can't understand how anybody can recommend such an outdated alarm. Even with my BV 7 I can set 10 alarm times and all of them with different sources!

We do not want a television in the bedroom as either my wife or I will end up staying up late to watch TV and get into bad habits.

Not good for sleep hygiene to be watching bright things in lead up to bedtime.

Any non-TV solutions at all?

Or you could place two BeoTime clocks in the bedroom, one for your angelheart and one for yourself. Makes two different alarm times with the gentle chime sound or for activating your B&O goodies Big Smile (Buy a netradio with clock from Tivoli.)

Yes, I was looking at the Tivoli solution which is rather pretty but I was wondering of there was a Alarm clock - Music system solution. I am also not sure the Tivoli will sound anywhere as good nor has stereo in the Tivoli Model 3.

Or ask your angelheart to wake you up with a kiss and singing a song. Best and cheapest solution ever!Big Smile

I myself have the model Three, for use in my workroom, it was a gift. The sound is very good! If you buy the extra speaker then you will have a stereo system. Although I would not recommend this radio because of a scratchy volume control and analog rotary tuning after a couple of years in use.

I was actually referring to the Model Ten, this is a digital version with netradio, two alarms and possibility of stereo.

The points 1 - 4 could be made with a Beosound 3 and an SD card with your favorite music.

Do you have a Beovision with timer functionality in your main room? If yes, a Beolab 3500 in bedroom connected via masterlink would be a solution for you.

No, we do not have a Beovision. The wife has said 'no' to a B&O t.v - she doesn't share my passion for B&O TVs...

Can a Beotime alram clock activate a Besound Essence to wake with music at all?

Beotime uses infrared signal, Essence bluetooth.

But an IR adapter is supposed to exist...

I was looking for the exact same thing as y ou, and here is what I have now:

Beosound Ouverture (for the multi-timer capability) plugged into a Beosound Essence.

The sole missing point is the clock...

I can't get either of my BS3s to wake to the SD card.  Only the radio... even though the manual seems to say otherwise.

And maybe it is just me, but I tried figuring out a BeoTime at the B&O store, and I couldn't do it... doesn't seem like I should have to read a manual to set an alarm clock.
