Hi

Can I use my Beoplay A8 as the speaker for a rather poor sounding Samsung TV?

If so, how?

If your tv has a headphone out socket, it can go directly to the A8 line in, but the A8 will need to be turned on manually I think... Also I think the TVs line out would do the same thing as the volume is controlled by the A8..

Thanks, that's good news

Has anyone else tried this, and have you been pleased with the result?

We did this on our Samsung when the sound died on the TV and were pleased with the result. I ended up switching to the Beolit 12 instead since I used the A8 more in another room. But both were far better sounding than the TV speakers, and we just used the headphone out to connect.

Brilliant!  I think it could be the solution we have been looking for
