I have a Besound 1 and a Beocenter 2. I am using my Beo4 to control the Beocenter 2. Unfortunately, the Beo4 also automatically controls the Beosound 1. For example, when I switch to CD, the Beosound opens the CD player. Any idea how to "unpair" my Beo4 from my Besound 1, but still keep it controlling the Beocenter 2.

Thanks in advance!!!

But BeoSound 1 in Options '4' -Then 'Link' would have to be selected in the Beo4 list before a command was pressed in order to control the BeoSound 1. BeoCenter 2 will carry on working as normal.

Not sure I understand what you are saying. Can you please elaborate. Thanks!

He mean that you should set the BC1 in option 4. Then you have to select LINK on the beo4 in order to command the BC1.

This sounds great and happy to see this is working. How do I set the Beosound 1 into option 4?

Also, separate question. Can I switch the Beosound 1 into AUX mode with the Beo4 and control the volume? Ideally in some combination with "link" that you are describing (i.e., only changing Beosound 1 and not other devices).

Thanks again!

You can't, if I'm correct...

Option 4 is only for link-products, like a BL3500 or an active link. A Beosound1 is not!

However, you can put the BS1 in "A.OPT.0" so it won't respond on the Beo4 anymore.

Thanks for your quick reply. I have been trying quite a few things, but did not succeed to not have both BS1 and BC2 reacting to me pressing "DVD".

What shall I do to not have the BS1 react to the Beo4 anymore? Is there a way that I could still have it react to A:AUX instead.

My primary need is not to have the BS1 react everytime I switch my BC2 to DVD mode. Secondary need is still to use my Beo4 somehow to control the BS1. If the second is not possible, I can live with it.

Thanks again!!!

Press standby + LIST the same time, Press arrow up/down till you see Option in the display, Press Go and then press arrow up till you see A.OPT. Press "0".

Make sure you do this in a room where the BC2 is not..!!

Plugging the BC2 out from power should do the trick.

This way the BS1 is completely disconnected. Still having it communicate on A.AUX is not possible, right?

Not with a Beo4. However you can select AUX by pressing the CD's left and right arrow at the same time.
