Hi,
I was looking on options to mount my Beolab 3500 this evening and the issue I have is that I would like to at least mount one of the holes to a stud (which of course is not in the exact position I would like.
These are 13mm thick gypsum walls and as the holes are so close to each other I do not want to use the Molly expander I would normally use for this (consulted some experts and they were afraid that the wall could crack in-between the two holes.
So I played around with a prototype and this position would be the closest to the middle of the two doors I can get (left hole in a stud and right in an expander as the one above). Just wanted your view on how it looks - weird or not (click on the picture to see the full picture) ?
My B&O products: Beosound 9000, Beosound 2300, Beosound Century, Beolab 8000, Beolab 6000, Beolab 4000 x2, Beolab 3500, Beolab 2000, Beolab 10, Beolink Active x2, Beotime, Beo5 x2, Beo4, A9 keyring x2, LC2 dimmer x6 and growing....
Without seeing all of the surroundings, I'd say it is quite OK. My rule of thumb in these problems is that if you can't make something straight / smack in the middle, err enough that nobody can think it was an accident!

I had the same problem.
B&O can provide for gypsum walls an aluminium plate which is placed between the 3500 and the wall.
The plate has holes for 4 screws and the result is very neat.
It is mentioned in the 3500's installation manual.
Kind regards,
Yann.

Double post, sorry.Yann.
Yep, seen this option also. However, it would not fully solve it as the holes unfortunately are in the wrong places anyway so I would be in a similar situation. I guess one could imagine that one could drill new holes in the plate. Thanks for the proposal though.
Have also considered going to a "tinsmith" and ask them to make a custom plate with the holes in the right places. Still I would like to have an as clean installation as possible and avoid a "big bracket".
Looks fine. Go for it!
The BL3500 looks great where ever you put it.
