I have a avant TV 28 from 2002 (still sounds great with excellent picture) with a pair of 600 speakers, anyway that I could made a turntable ? fancy getting the old vinyl out again. Would guess turntable will be phono lead

Any help    Thanks

Avant is in front room so more room for turntable records etc etc otherwise i have beovision 7/beosound 9000/400 speakers running of each other.

Thanks

It may be possible to use an AV2 expander to connect one.  Or, if it has RCA leads you could use the L+R audio inputs behind the top control panel.

Does the TT have a pre-amp?  If it doesn't you will need one - see later post to confirm this operation.

Which TT do you want to use?

Dave.

If the (old) Avant is not already linked up, the old trick with the BeoLink Converter (1611) might do the job.

There is a tv - and there is a BV

I've just confirmed that you can just use a pre-amp and then directly into the L+R inputs on the top control panel.  Just select 'Camcorder' on your BEO4.

I'm playing a B&O test record through Pentas attached to my Avant 32 VCR TV - via a Thorens deck I'm affraid as I haven't got a handy B&O deck with RCA leads.  On the previous post I said DIN when I should have said RCA - sorry about that.  I'll edit it to avoid confusion.

Dave.

The pre amp is small and can be hidden away.

Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.

As Soren says, the pre-amp can be as small as a medium sized matchbox.  The one I have is only 95 x65 x 35mm (approx 3.5 x 2.5 x 1.5 inches) and has fastenings so you can wall mount it or even stick it on the back of the TT.  No need for another (your Sony AV) amp.  All you will see are the TV and TT and the cable between them depending on how you do it.  The pre-amp does need a power supply via a transformer which is usually included when you buy them.
