Hi,

found out that my recently acquired Beosound 9000 is scratching the back of the CDs when the sled is moving between discs. Everything else works fine though. I have adjusted the position screws according to the manual (table stand, "standing up") and also micro adjusted them to see if I a minor adjustment would do. However, no success as of yet.

In one of threads I have found that the rocker arm (part 9134) in the service manual can be the issue:

However, before I start to tinkering with it I was wondering if this could be fixed by running the test modes 71 and 73 which to my understanding positions the CD sled etc.? (I guess not but I thought I should ask)

Best regards,
Martin

Hi Martin,

doing the two tests doesn't repair this fault. You have to replace the rocker arm as you already found out.

Can be done by yourself, did the same at my Beosound 9000 MK1 and it works now flawlessly Big Smile

I had the same issue with mine. I played around with different settings on the position screws until I got it right. (the suspension is out of "tune", so just try to find one that works).

"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"
