hi just connected a pair off beolabs to my beocenter 9500the speakers are working but I am not getting any information in the display panal I am using eight pin leads on both speakers into the powerlink I1 and 2 does the 9500 work with the 4500 display readout ? thanks
Which Beolabs speakers are you using?
Is the switch set to 'Audio' on the back of the speaker?
Are you using the correct Powerlink cables i.e. MKII?:
Powerlink cable suitability for speakers;
Mk1 are for non IcePower speakers (for example the BeoLab 6000, early BeoLab 4000, BeoLab 8000)
Mk2 are for everything and can also carry data signals, so are perfect for BeoLab Penta/Beolab 4500.
Mk3 are for IcePowered (for example BeoLab 8002, BeoLab 6002, BeoLab 3)
Dave.

I read that once I'd posted but didn't delete the question!
hi dave the speakers were sold as 4500 but are 3500 they are in audio mode think they are the mark 1 cabels seem a lot thiner than the mark 2
hi dave no not the elan +2 ive have the Europa special 73 in black and gold I live about 1 mile were colin chapman started in honsey used to have a elite made in 62
hi dave should the 9500 and the beolabs 3000 both work with the display panal
I've never used my 9500 with Beolab speakers with a display but I don't see why they shouldn't. They need the MK2 Powerlink (fully wired) cables though to carry the data. MK1 cables won't show the display.
