This morning, on the opening page of the forum, every single thread was for a 'kitchen' spam thread!

Is there nothing that can be done to stop this as it's really starting to hack me off and detract from my normally pleasurable BeoWorld experience.  Can we not have a 'Kitchen' filter that stops this?

Dave.

I couldn't agree more. Curious that all the different locations have a 0161 telephone number (Manchester?)

Maybe we all ring this person and ask for a quote, then not buy the kitchen.  He will be so busy he will not have time to post stupid adverts

I could do with a new kitchen here in thailand , perhaps I should give him a mega order and see how long it takes till he finds I've been wasting his time as well

Dave,

I have been blocking all the IP addresses used as well as the words "Kitchen" and Kitchens, but the blocker is not perfect if they post many times over a short time period.

Whilst we have been seeing quite a few of these kitchen postings, those which do get through are normally quickly deleted.

Would rather be without them, but I have learned to 'live with them'.

Kind of ignoring anything with 'kitchen' in it,

The mods are doing an amazing job to quickly delete those, that make it through the filter.

Thanks for that Yes - thumbs up

The mods do an amazing job that's true.  Many thanks to them.

It is a Manchester landline number.

Dave.

The last posting came via an ISP in the US and the apparent Manchester phone number is a virtual number.

I have also blocked any posting with the Manchester phone number in it.

They probably hired an indian company (a 'click-farm') to do it for them - costs are very low for that kind of 'service'.

shame I was looking at upgrading her in doors, wanted a newer model with modern features and sleek lines and the ability not to slam the doors and draws.....

we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.

Jacques is working on his Beovox 5000 speakers, I think he wants to install a kitchen in them, they are big enough. ( the size is  the same as a Japanese 1 room apartment)

Manhattan studio apartments used to be phone booths before the housing shortage.

In this thread alone, the word kitchen appears several times...

Yes it does, but what I was really getting at was the possibility of blocking thread titles with 'kitchen' in it?

Dave.

You'd just have to call that room something different - 'food prep room' or for the sexist 'the wife's room'.  But yes, it could make some posts more creative with the title.

Just to inform you, the kitchen in our house, is mine, I cook, I build the kitchen and equipped it to my needs, my wife is allowed to use it, and allowed to clean up, after I have been cooking Smile. There is no B&O in my kitchen, I would never let my precious items get covered in cooking grease or damaged from the vapors that at times are needed to make a good meal. The music is right in the dining room next door, and loud rock and roll is played when I am cooking Laughing. I am proud of my KITCHEN
