When I press radio on Beo4, the TV does not turn on its stand.  Is this normal?

If so, the problem is the centre speakers are not facing towards me.  Would I be better setting up a speaker group which does not use the centre speakers?

Also, the screen does not now turn off automatically, unless I press 0.  Is this normal?

Have you adjusted stand settings in the menu of the tv?

I think I understand the problem now.  I have 2 stand positions, one for video and one for audio, and the audio setting is stand by.  So I need to change the radio setting to video?  How do I do that?

and the other point is shouldn't the image go off after a while in radio setting?

Just choose the same settings for the Radio source, as you have for video in source setup.

But - the easiest way would be to start Radio, choose the prefered station, volume, the Speaker Group, Sound Mode and the Stand Position - and 'save it as a snapshot' to one of the 3 My Buttons.

As for the screen (not) turning off automatically, I don't know.

You might try to 'mute the picture' before you save 'the snapshot' to see if that works.

See the 'Guide' for more information - use the Info button to display help texts.

It is not an Avant.

You can save up to eight stand positions as far as I remember for different sources. I will check the picture mute tonight. I remember the picture not muting also, but that is some time ago and it might have changed with the latest software updates.

Thanks, that's good to know.  So how do you set up a stand position for radio source?

Have looked everywhere in the menu and cannot find how to set up a stand position for radio source.  Have renamed stand position 3 as Radio, but of course that doesn't work

Help!

Sorry for mixing up your BV11 with the Avant.

The reason why I did it - I think - was that the Avant has the built in Radio-function (which is internet radio).

Now - from where does your actual radio source come?

Is it activated through pure pushing of the Radio button on the Beo4?

Does it come from a connected audiosystem, or from a service over cable/air together with the tv signal?

Please do tell!

In the last case the tv would assume, that it is a tv source and use the settings made for 'TV'.

When you look in the source list on the screen, navigate to 'Radio', push the 'red button' and activate the 'advanced settings', what do you see there?

Do you have an option of choosing a stand position there???

Sorry that I have to ask - I am not on solid ground here, because my tv does not have a stand/stand function!

But since noone with that possibility has answered yet, I though I'd give you this hint - if it is a hint!

By the way - choosing the Radio from my tv service, displays Radio on the screen, and the screen mutes after a while.

I don't really understand the issue you have to live with. I have 3 pre-defined stand positions, stand-by, video and audio. When I select audio, ik press go, the tv requests me to turn the tv to the required position, and then I presss go again to store the settings. From then on, when I listen to radio, rhe tv turns to that position automatically. Tested it today and is very easy to establish. Is that your issue?

Yes, I under stand all that.  My issue is that with Radio, I want the stand to turn because I have the centre speakers turned on, but whe I listen to music via Beosound 9000, I have them switched off so I would like the stand not to turn.  Problem is a they are booth audio sources, I have to have one stand position for both.  It would be nice if for each source I could set up a stand position, just like I can for speaker groups

Sorry, only just got this, it was in my junk folder

Have sorted most things.  Radio source is Freeview, activated by pressing radio on Beo4

There are nos separate options for choosing stand positions for each source, only stand heading with 2 sections - audio and video

Screen does not auto mute, have not solved this yet

Thanks for your detailed reply.  Much appreciated
