As per title the beolab 17s will be available in black and you know what i actually like them in that colour. Here's a link of where i saw them.

I like them in all colors. Big Smile

Still, need to see them live, aluminum+white front looks spectacular and much better than in pics - would not be surprised if black aluminum+black front looks equally stunning. Anyway, choice is a good thing. Smile

Agreed, they are very classy.  It looks like the same finish as on the new A8 true black edition. Perhaps there is a new theme......

Typical dull review....:

If you’re keen for some sheen, a singular BeoLab17 speaker in black aluminium will set you back a bankruptcy-inducing £2590 – the same price as the classic variant.

Dull and incorrect. Of course if it were from Linn or B&W the "bankruptcy" or "millionaire" stereotype wouldn't be wheeled out even if they were more expensive, but as its B&O!

It's an ignorant prejudice B&O should take on actively.

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

From the same reviewer on a B&W speaker:

Classy, engaging sound quality makes B&W’s stunning 684 Theatre system two grand well spent.

I don't remember B&O even selling a single beolab 17 especially when i brought mine at the time. That reviewer also made an error like that when reviewing the avant.

He said something about the beolab 20s which was used alongside the avant to be £7000 for a single speaker when infact its for the pair.

It really is misinformation like that which annoys me.

They look beautiful.

Should I trade my white BL3's in for these beauties?

Not that we can trade in here in Australia, but sell them privately, then purchase the 17s.

I prefer that it has the wireless capability.

hmmm
