hi looking to buy a pair off beolabs 3000 the seller has said that one speaker has a faulty sorvenoid in standby mode is that a easy fix or problems ? thanks
I bought a pair of BL4500's and took them home ever so carefully and when I hooked them up, one had a solenoid that would not operate. I returned it to the seller and when it arrived there, it worked perfectly. They returned it to me and it has behaved flawlessly ever since with no repair or disassembly needed. The movement in transit freed it and it's been fine since.
If the price reflects the fault I'd go for it and have it looked at. Either a solenoid service (clean) or replacement will hopefully sort it out.
Dave.
thanks dave let you know how I get on ps your elan is it in red and white gold leaf ?
OK, good luck.
My Elan Sprint is the expensive, extra option of solid red. You had to pay extra for it to be not red over white in those days! It's the 15th from last ever built according to the Lotus company records.
hi dave its a blinder used to have a 1962 elite as you know the elan took over
