Hi,
I recently bought the Beovision X8000, and was wondering if I can set it up so that when there is power, it'll start up, instead of using the remote. Couldn't find something similar on these threads nor in the manual.
I am asking this since I use this tv for an arcade project, it would be nice to boot everything up instead of reaching for a remote everytime.
Thanks,
Paul
Hi.
Not sure if this is possible. I believe most if not all beovisions are designed to remain in stand by when not in use and connected to the mains, and only operate by remote. I could see why you would want the tv to go straight to your source rather than standby when powered on, but I am sure the default for this is standby.

Many yeears ago I had customers reporting that their TV's were switching themselves on in the middle of the night.
The mystery was solved when we realised that they had connected a Freeview box via scart. The Freeview boxes were receiving over air software updates in the middle of the night. When the box switched on from stand by, the set was triggered via the voltage sent down the scart lead.
Maybe you could try and set up your source boxes in the same way with a fully wired scart lead.

That's right, I believe the TV would turn on and switch to a Scart if it detects a signal.
Used to work with a video tape for me.
