I have just got myself a fab pair of beolab 4's, and they sound really good

Problem I have is they have a setting switch wit 1,2,3. Which setting is for what

I also had an issue were I connected them to my pre wired set up and got an annoying buzzing from both spks, then used the supplied powerlink cables and it was fine

Q. Is that cause they are Ice type speakersGeekedGeeked

I am not an EE so I can;t explain difference, however I had the same issue until I swapped the power link cables.  They need to be Mark III cables which are distinguished by a small black triangle embossed on the plastic sleeve at each end of the cable.

This is described in the manual as well as the positioning switch -- you can download the whole manual (and any others) from Beoworld if you pay the very modest annual subscription (one time fee if you chose not to renew !),

As the Beolab 4 manual has 3 whole pages on the positioning of these speakers and the use of switch you might find the annual fee worth while if you plan for example ceiling mounts.

However here is the key diagram - you may to abuse the switch to give yourself difference bass behaviours ...
