Hi Guys
I've had many B&O systems over the years and have always enjoyed using them and the quality of them. My most recent B&O acquisition has been a Beomaster 6000, quite a heavy unit but kicks out good sound at decent volume.
Anyway I am have a strange problem with this system, which simply is it likes to switch to random channels or reset the volume. For example:
I am using the TP1 (tape output) hooked up to my PC, all is going well and then suddenly the unit switches from TP1 to P1 by its self with no input from me.
Again I am using the TP1 output hooked up to my PC with the preset volume slider set to 0, I then increase the volume to 10 using the up buttons, all is going well when suddenly by its self the volume resets to the preset volume in this case 0.
Another thing that is linked with these two is that after I finish with the unit and turn it off, after some time the unit magically turns its self onto P1 with no input from me.
So my question is has anyone every experienced anything like this from the Beomaster 6000 and if so did you manage to fix it and how did you do so???
I am quite adept at electronics and have had the unit open a few times to see if I could figure out what was going on, I thought that maybe the buttons were sticking or there was some floating signal coming of the button pad board which cased the problem but I could not find such an issue,
If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated as I would hate to stop using this unit over such a silly little issue.
Cheers
Cronin
