A good day to all my fellow Beoworlders I hope everybody is well, and that all the B&O products owned by yourselves are bringing you all joy!! I have been away from the forum for a while now (about 3-4 years; kids) But only recently have I rediscovered my love of all things Bang & Olufsen. Which has started again with the bargain buy of a Beovision 7 32" MK III for a poultry £34 and a Avant 28" DVD for £25. I love a bargain!!!
But anyways back to topic, I was hoping for a bit of help or advice. Whilst I rekindled my love of all things B&O I was looking through, THE box of bits and pieces, you know the one, the one hiding away with all sorts in it including wires and old chargers you may never use again, stuffed in a corner or under the bed in the your bedroom. Well I happened to come across an old Beolink 5000 I had acquired with my previous purchase of a Beosystem 7000. Now I really did like the look of it when I had seen it in pictures but unfortunately the previous owner had damaged it somewhat. Basically it is missing the screen and battery cover.
Now to buy one of these would cost an arm and a leg, so I was hoping to repair the one I already have. So I was hoping that someone on here could advise me as to where I can buy a replacement screen and a battery cover, I was also hoping for advice on how to repair it as well? So If any of you very kind and knowledgeable gentlemen could help me, that would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance guys

Hi Nahidul,
Unfortunately unlike the Beo4 the Beolink 5000 screen is not replaceable on it's own - it has a permanent connection to the main Beolink PCB (ciruit board) and these part are obsolete - I very much doubt that you would find one. I have two BL5000s in similar condition!
Your best bet is to look for a scruffy but fully working Beolink 5000 on eBay and swap some of the parts around between the two - you just need to be very careful when taking them apart to avoid further damage. Good luck.

There is no way of repairing a BL5000 anymore :(
The best way is to find a working one, which is hard enough, since they "all" now has cracked/missing screens, or pixel errors...
