How can you tell that it is not laser-engraved?
From what I saw a couple of months ago in Struer, it is made in the same way as the other 'engravings', using the same gear.
If that should have been changed now, it wiill have happened recently.

Michael:Saw an "engraved" BeoRemote One today. However, it is not engraved with a laser. It actually looks more like white/grey paint. Probably not a bad idea. Looks good but laser etching would have been cooler. Perhaps the paint can be removed if the remote will change owner?

maybe the one you saw was 'painted'?
I guess everyone can do that, if he wants to.
If you order them engraved, I am quite sure, that the are 'lasered'.
