I know what you mean. It would make Youtube more interesting and relevant if there was more of these sorts of comparisons, amongst enlightened folk.
I got the title wrong, the B&W is called the T7.
Man, the B&W is butt ugly by comparison. As for sound, no way in hell can you tell from a youtube video but just based on attractiveness and portability the B&O looks better.

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.
Well ... designwise the A2 reminds me on the gold old german "handgelenktasche" ... very kinky indeed
BeoGreg: Much clearer to my ears, it's like the A2 as a filter of some kind you whant to remove.

Judging from the video, yes clearer, or brighter. But I guess that might be lack of low end and compensation for that made by the recording device.
Jeff, your probably right, but would a comparison like this on youtube benefit from a third version of the same tune directly played to the video (i.e. recorded to the video, and not speaker to mic.) ? then at least you would know how the track should sound on your system where your watching/listening to the video.
and again, I would not buy the ugly B&W box independent of how good it sounds
Just had a listen to the A2 in the store in Helsinki, and I say that it sounded a lot better in person, than the impression that you get from that video. If you were to hang it from a wall (as in the Beoplay pictures on the website) then it sounds like it has more low end.
Hopefully they will do a white version!
In the Geoff Martin blog (the latest article with the link to the video about Beolit etc) there is a question related to this theme.
It is about making a video comparing two loudspeakers and playing it back on an 'unknown' device.

I already asked the question about the range of the BT connection with the A2 in the 'main A2 thread':
http://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/t/12396.aspx?PageIndex=8
The answer was:
"For MM's test: I've just had the A2 and iPad 70 metres apart outside and still going strong with no drop-out. When Jacques arrives, I'll go further but I was at the point of not being able to hear the A2 outside at that distance! It wasn't turned right up though."
BeoBoy68: Geoff Martin didn't work on the BeoPlay A2. Now I understand why it sounds not neutral

I agree! I haven't heard it, but my Ouija Board told me so last night!

It looks like he has room to carry the T7 in there (amongst other things). But yes, the A2 is somewhat reminiscent of the man bag. lol
Aussie Michael:I was thinking about that last night, but isn't the problem in this regard that the device is bluetooth so you'll effectively have to have your device right next to the A2? That's the only issue I see me buying the A2 because i wouldn't be able to have my phone on the couch and stream it to the kitchen a couple of metres away.

The 70 metre distance was in the open air with no obstacles. With internal walls it will obviously make a difference. I haven't done a test yet but will do so and post the results.
when Jacques was here it got too dark to do anything outside and we were too interested in other B&O 'stuff' so didn't try it out again outside for the max distance.
Funnily enough, I was using the A2 last night whilst I was having a bath and the iPad and A2 were only a metre apart and I sufferred the first drop-out I've had with it. Only for about 2 seconds and then it was fine again. Possibly due to other things running on the iPad - I don't know.
If you try it out at your dealers, they should have a handy wall to nip behind to test it first.
Dave.

The B&W sounds like the sound from music playing when you´re on hold in a phone call :D. The Beoplay A2 sounds much fuller with better mids.
