I have a 4002 with a dead channel. I've read good continuity through the tone arm to the small card and on through the flexible umbilical to the connector on the main card. Also checked both interconnect cables to the internal connection.A ll of that checked good for both channels.

Purchased a new cartridge from Soundsmith, still no left channel.

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

David

At the moment it's connected to the old technics receiver in my shop. But, it's usually connected to the Luxman 309 in the bedroom. Same problem, regardless of which amp I connect it to.

There is also a hum in the left channel. Maybe there is an internal short in the cable somewhere?
