I own a beogram 8000 which works very well except one thing. When I press pause, left or right, the arm used to snap up very fast. At a certain moment this snapping did goe much slower, and often so slow that the stylus slides over the record… I think this is a mechanical failure but I don’t know how to fix it. Hope anyone can help. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like the mechanism needs a good clean with IPA and relubricating. Possibly just hardening grease gunging things up.
There are threads on this kind of issue if you search the forum. If you upgrade to silver or gold you get access to the service manuals too.
