Hello,

Anyone using Beo5 remote with beosystem 7000? Beosystem works as expected with beolink 1000, but with beo5 remote the behavior is irrational and eventually beosystem stops responding to beo5 commands. Beomaster works OK with beo5 when CD is disconnected from beomaster, problem with master link config?! Beo5 remote works as expected with beocenter 9000 that I have in other room (BC9000 and BS7000 are not connected).

I'm using config tool version 6 to modify the beo5 config.

Beomaster is set to use option 0 (I don't know if beogram can be configured separately).

Any pointer what I should do to get Beo5 working with beosystem?

Cheers, Jyrki

Hhhmm, I created one more config for beo5 with config tool. This time I selected the Beosound 3000 as "controlled product" (instead of BC9500) and now the beo5 remote and beosystem 7000 are co-operating as expected. Dunno what was the culprit of problem, but at least things are now working, case closed! Smile

I know you've solved the problem, but by way of increasing understanding...

... setting your Beomaster 7000 to Option 0 means that it will not accept further commands from an infra-red remote - except another instruction to change the Option.

Yes but I hardly use it as I find the 1000 quicker to operate and more intuitive ....

Drop a line to Keith as he kindly programmed my Beo5

we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.

Yes, you are correct about option 0. In my first post I had typo, I have the beosystem set with option 1.
